With the heavy rains we've experienced in the last several years we developed a problem with water coming in around the casement windows. Last year we had a French drain type trench dug on the hill behind our home, which worked pretty well until we got 11 1/2 inches of rain in just a couple of hours last year. Fortunately, the sump pump did its job very well, and we just power washed the floor afterwards, just like thousands of people across the city. Overall, a great and very comfortable home."
